Manilal J. Chheda founded the practice in 1972. It became Chheda Management Consultants LLP in 2012, and today it is a family practice of four partners, advising employers on PF, ESI, payroll and every labour-law obligation in between.

Our story
More than fifty years in labour law.
From the practice Manilal J. Chheda founded in 1972 to an LLP of four partners, and on through the arrival of the Labour Codes.
The practice begins
Manilal J. Chheda founds the practice. It is the start of five decades of helping employers meet their labour-law obligations.
Founder member of EPILPA
The firm is a founder member of EPILPA, the ESI, PF and Other Labour Laws Practitioners' Association, which brings together practitioners in our field.
Chheda Management Consultants LLP
The practice becomes a limited liability partnership, Chheda Management Consultants LLP, with four family partners.
Fifty years
The firm marks its golden jubilee: fifty years of labour-law practice, from 1972 to 2022.
The Labour Codes arrive
On 21 November 2025 the four Labour Codes come into force, bringing 29 central labour laws into four codes. We begin taking our clients through what changes for them.
A new website, and Labour Law Experts
This website opens, together with Labour Law Experts, our educational initiative where anyone can learn how the new Labour Codes work.
