Why Chheda Consultants
Fifty years of judgement, with a team that lives on today's portals.
50+ years of practice
We have advised employers on labour law since 1972. Our team trains continuously and follows every amendment, central and state, so our advice reflects the law as it stands today.
Audit-ready, every month
Pre-audit reviews and up-to-date registers mean an inspection is routine, not a scramble. Your business stays compliant and your employees get their benefits on time.
Experienced and young, together
Senior advisers with deep knowledge of labour law work alongside a young team at home with cloud payroll and government portals. You get sound judgement and up-to-date tools from one team.
Pan-India, state by state
Branches or sites in several states? We manage each state's own rules alongside the central ones, so your compliance is consistent wherever you operate.
Startups and new businesses
Registrations, applicability and a compliance setup sized for a new establishment. Practical and cost-conscious, so you can focus on growth.
Mergers and acquisitions
We work out employee liabilities and dues, compute full and final settlements and certify compliance, so you know the employee side of a deal before you sign.
The Labour Codes
29 laws became 4 codes. We'll walk you through it.
The biggest change in Indian labour law in decades came into force on 21 November 2025. Read each code in plain English, with every passage linked to the official gazette copy, or ask us what it means for your company.

We know how compliance works in your trade.

Do you work outside Mumbai?
Yes. Our office is in Goregaon, Mumbai, and we support clients across India through our Pan-India network. If you have branches in several states, we handle each state's own rules alongside the central ones.
Can you take over our existing compliance mid-year?
Yes. We first check where things stand: registrations, past challans and returns, and any past dues. Then we agree a monthly timeline with your HR and take it over from there.
What do you need from us every month?
Attendance, joiners and leavers, and any salary changes for the month. A biometric attendance export is fine. We agree an input date with your HR and follow up if anything is missing.
Do you handle the new Labour Codes?
Yes. The four Labour Codes came into force on 21 November 2025. We review what changes for your business, from your wage structure under the new definition of wages to PF, ESI, gratuity and bonus, registers, licences and standing orders, and help you move over in an orderly way. We track central and state rules, including Maharashtra's, as they are notified.
Can you process payroll on our own software?
Yes. We can depute a person every month to process payroll on the software you already use. Or we run it on our own payroll software, Windows or web-based.
Do you provide temporary staff?
Yes, through our group companies. Our staffing company is the employer of the staff deployed at your premises. It pays at least minimum wages by bank transfer, takes care of PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund and the contractor licence where one applies, and shares proof of compliance with you every month. This suits requirements of 50 people or more.
